Connecticut Flag
Ratified the Constitution in 1788 as the fifth State; flag adopted in 1897. The
grapevines in the coat of arms refer to the three original colonies --
Connecticut, New Haven, and Saybrook. The motto "He Who Brought Us Over Will
Sustain Us," is based on the 80th Psalm.
